mosquitoScientists have been working on developing millions of malaria parasites but instead of worsening the problem, these “sexy” parasites are being developed to stop the disease from spreading.

A Griffith University team of scientists have been developing parasites for the last 7 years.

The process “pushes” the mosquito from being asexual, the form where it spreads disease to humans, to sexual to test ways they could stop the disease from transfering between people.

For now, let’s make sure we have our screens in place to prevent malaria carrying parasites from entering our homes.
