Sydney seems to be leading the way when it comes to human consumption of insects with a new Sydney company incorporating crickets into a high protein bar.
The company is hoping that people can embrace the idea of eating insects after learning how clean and high in protein they are.
Following news that bugs are expected to be one of the biggest food trends in 2016, now crickets are being added to bars developed by a Sydney based nutritionist.
She says crickets are not only nutrient rich but are one of the best foods available.
She also explains that there are ecological benefits to farming crickets which require alot less resources than farming traditional animals.
