The government of Western Australia has posted mosquito-borne disease risk maps for residential areas in the state.
Many of these areas are located near large and inaccessible natural wetlands or man-made water bodies such as artificial ponds and lakes which makes the likelihood of it being a mosquito breeding ground high.
In the state the mosquito-borne diseases of most public health concern are:
- Ross River Virus
- Barmah Forest Virus
- Murray Valley encephalitis (MVE)
- Kunjin Disease
Having your Freedom Screens in place is one way to guard against dangerous mosquitoes entering your home.
