Could this be the biggest insect that ever lived?
According to National Geographic griffinflies from the genus Meganeuropsis grew up to 27 inches, currently they reach a maximum of eight inches.
The largest of their fossils were found in France and Kansas and were 300 million to 280 million years old.
Thankfully these insects don’t exist anymore, I wouldn’t want to find one of these in my bed.
