With mosquito season upon us, government authorities are once again warning people to keep themselves safe and healthy this spring and summer.
SA Health is giving people a warning to recognise the symptoms of the 2 most popular mosquito borne viruses in Australia – Ross River virus and Barmah Forest virus. The campaign is called “Fight the Bite”.
The campaign highlights the symptoms of these diseases which include a rash, joint and muscle pain, swelling, stiffness, fever, chills, headache, tiredness/weakness, and/or a general feeling of being unwell after being bitten by a mosquito. People are advised to seek medical attention immediately.
