A case in point involves the recent loss of Italy to Spain in the World Cup qualifier game which saw Spain move ahead 3 points in the group.
Torino striker, Andrea Belotti’s substandard performance in the game did not go unnoticed by critics and has been attributed as one of the reasons for Italy’s loss.However the striker has a reason for the performance, an insect bite or sting.
According to Belotti, an insect bit/stung him the night before the game, causing his eye to puff up, affecting his game and ultimately contributing to Italy’s loss.
