Avoid the stifling summer heat even if you don’t have an air conditioner.   We found this cheap and easy DIY option to keep you cool.

Materials needed:

  • 1 bag of ice
  • 1 rubber dryer tube
  • 1 styrofoam cooler
  • Pom poms
  • 1 desk fan

Then follow these steps:

  1. Put the ice in the cooler,
  2. Trace around the dryer tube and cut a hole in the lid of the cooler
  3. Stick the tube in the hole.
  4. Trace the shape of a small fan and cut a hole so the fan will fit snugly without falling through
  5. Add streamers and pom poms

Voila…your own DIY air conditioner. It even works perfectly outdoors or for a patio.
